Alex Kramer was raised, like many Nashvillians, in a musical family. In 2007, Alex moved to yet another music mecca, Memphis, TN, after being awarded a full music scholarship to the University of Memphis. It was during this time that Kramer began his career full-time as a sideman guitarist. Following his appearance on MTV's 'Making His Band,' he relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 and soon became one of the the most called-upon backing musicians in L.A.'s Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, and Gospel communities. In 2012, Alex founded his production company, AK Productions. He is currently based out of Nashville, producing and developing new projects, as well as touring as a guitarist for various artists, and performing regionally with his own band.
Alex's endeavors as a guitarist and producer in the music industry have lead him to sharing the stage and studio with many world renowned artists, including Bo Bice, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jason Derulo, Joey McIntyre, Kira Isabella, Brandy, Bobby Brown, Faith Evans, Tyrese, Wyclef Jean, Matt Giraud, Laura Bell Bundy, Kristy Lee Cook, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams, Jason Michael Carroll, Cassio Monroe, Tank, Kenny Lattimore, Jon B., Floetry, Christopher "Kid" Reid (Kid N Play), Shoshana Bean, Gospel legends Tye Tribbett, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Sheri Jones-Moffett, and Johnny B. Williams, as well as ministers Benny Hinn and Clarence E. McClendon. In addition, Kramer has worked with many high profile producers, including The Fliptones, JR Hutson, LT Hutton, and Scott Bomar. Alex has toured internationally as a guitarist and has played on records that have gained nominations for Grammys and Dove awards. He has performed on national television broadcasts including the ABC, CBS, FOX, MTV, VH1, BET, and TBN networks. He was featured prominently on MTV's 'Making His Band,' where he tied for the top ranking position in the nation as a guitarist (out of more than 40,000 musicians that auditioned). Alex currently endorses Paul Reed Smith Guitars, Blueridge Guitars, VOX Amplification, KORG USA, Monocase, and D'Addario strings.
