4 Places to Get King Cake!

One of our favorite times of the year has arrived – King Cake season! This sweet cinnamon pastry is covered with icing and splashed with the Mardi Gras colors we love – green, yellow, and purple. A little history lesson for you – the cake is the centerpiece of a historically Catholic celebration known as Epiphany which falls on January 6 and begins the Carnival Season running all the way to Fat Tuesday aka Mardi Gras! The idea is to get your fill of sweets in preparation for Lent, a time of fasting, which begins the day after Mardi Gras.

To help you keep the spirit alive at home this year, we decided to set you up with a list of places in the Nashville area to order your own. Check it out below and celebrate! PS – Don’t forget to come to our very own Mardi Gras celebration, February 10-16. See more.

Lilli Bella’s Cakes
Located in Hendersonville, Lili Bella’s is known for their made from scratch cinnamon rolls. At this time, they are taking orders for fresh-baked King Cakes with multiple different options. You can get a traditional King Cake for $38, praline filling for $40, and cream cheese with strawberry or raspberry filling for $45. Find out more.

Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen
King Cake has arrived at Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen. They have a ton of options including cream cheese-filled, fig and cream cheese, raspberry and cream cheese, and so many more. Orders must be taken three days in advance. Take a look.

Cupcake Collection
You probably know about Nashville’s famous cupcake restaurant – Cupcake Collection! They have partnered with Antione’s Famous Cakes and Pastries out of New Orleans to bring a bit of the Big Easy to Music City. They highly recommend you preorder online as they sold out last year. Find out more.

Delta Bound Southern Food Joint
Delta Bound has created a whole Mardi Gras menu! For a limited time, they will have Etouffee, Gumbo, and, of course, King Cake! Like most, they are asking everyone to give them a three-day heads up for all orders. Check them out.
